NORFOLK, NE. (KTIV/US92) -

Authorities continue to investigate a weekend altercation outside a Norfolk, Nebraska bar in which a man was shot in the face.

The victim has been identified as 28-year old Jorge Alberta Zepeda-Flores of Norfolk.

He remains hospitalized at Mercy Medical Center, where he was flown after the shooting early Saturday morning.

His condition has not been released.

Norfolk police say the shooting happened outside the Club Hollywood bar around 1:00 a-a.m. Saturday.

They say 28-year old Jordan Beehn and his 25-year-old wife, Kelly Beehn were leaving the bar when Kelly Beehn got into a fight with another woman.

Police say when Zepeda-Flores tried to break up the fight, Jordan Beehn hit him over the head with a gun.

When Zepeda-Flores turned around, witnesses say Beehn shot him in the mouth.

The Beehns fled the scene and were arrested later after a high-speed chase in Stanton County.

Jordan Beehn was arrested on suspicion of driving drunk, then sheriff's deputies learned that he was a suspect in the Norfolk shooting.

He's charged with first degree assault, use of deadly weapon to commit a felony and second degree assault in Madison County.

He's also charged with felony operating a motor vehicle to avoid arrest and suspicion of DWI in Stanton County.

Kelly Beehn was also taken into custody, but there is no word on any charges being filed against her.
