Sergeant Bluff, IA (KTIV) - -

A Siouxland biorefinery is getting federal money in support of advanced biofuels. The Ag Processing plant in Sergeant Bluff, Iowa is one of three owned by the Omaha-based company that will share 942-thousand dollars in payments for biodiesel production from soybean, canola and waste vegetable oils.

The USDA's Agriculture Undersecretary for Rural Development says advanced biofuels production is a key component of the president's energy strategy to reduce America's dependence on foreign oil.
