Briana Schaeuble is making her third and final NAIA Volleyball tournament appearance.
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
The Morningside volleyball team will be making its fourth appearance in the NAIA Volleyball National Tournament when it begins pool play Tuesday against No. 1 and undefeated Concordia.
The Mustangs take a 16 and 14 mark into postseason play and will face three of the top 13 teams in pool action.
Morningside also battles 12th ranked Indiana University East and 13th ranked Georgetown College. The three schools have a combined 110 wins and just 7 losses.
Only the top two teams from each pool will advance to the single-elimination bracket, and the Mustangs know they have a difficult stretch ahead of them.
"We're excited. Me and the rest of my teammates, we're excited to go out there and play," junior Maggie Vondrak said. "We're going to go out there and give it our best, and any team can be beaten on any given day."
"We can win on any given night as long as we just all play some of our best volleyball we've played all year," added senior Briana Schaeuble. "And, this would be the prefect time to peak for that."
The NAIA announced Monday that Sioux City will continue to be the host sight for the Volleyball National Championship through 2015.
The tournament has been held in Sioux City since 2008.
