Nebraska lost to Texas in '09 and Oklahoma in '10 Big 12 Championship game.
LINCOLN, Neb. (KTIV) -
For the third time in four years, the Nebraska football team is playing for a conference championship.
After missing out on the Big Ten title game a year ago, the Huskers are making their first appearance in Indianapolis following a 13-7 win over Iowa.
It'll be a rematch against Wisconsin.
Nebraska came back from a double-digit deficit, the first of many on the season, to claim a 30-27 victory over the Badgers back on September.
Wisconsin is in the hunt for their third straight conference title, while the Huskers are eyeing their first since 1999.
"We came up short the last two times we went into a game, but we played two really good teams and loss two tough games," Head Coach Bo Pelini said. "I don't get into dissecting the psychology. We're either going to make enough plays or we're not."
The Huskers lost to Texas in 2009, and Oklahoma in 2010 in the Big 12 Championship games.
The winner will earn the Big Ten's bid to the Rose Bowl Game on Jan. 1. A trip to the Rose Bowl would be NU's first BCS bowl game since 2001.
