Truck catches fire, closes busy Dickinson County, IA intersection

NEAR SPIRIT LAKE, Iowa (KTIV/KUOO) -

A fire shut down a busy northwest Iowa intersection for a time, Thursday night.

Steve Schwaller, from our news partner, KUOO Radio, in Spirit Lake, reports a diesel pick-up truck, which was hauling a goose-neck trailer, caught fire at the intersection of Highways 9 and 86 in Dickinson County. It's also know as "Vick's Corner".

Traffic was re-routed while firefighters put out the blaze. No one was hurt.
