SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
If you're looking to brighten up your living space and help out the Sioux City Art Center, you can buy a City Art Quilt.
These paintings are part of the city's latest community art project and come in three sizes.
Local artists came up with the designs, residents and businesses sponsored and displayed them for the last 18 months.
The profits from the art sale will go to help fund the Art Center's workshops and help bring in new exhibits.
"The art center is free we are a public private model organization and part of our costs is supplied by the city of Sioux City and the other half is supplied by private donors for all of our programs," Al Harris-Fernandez, the Sioux City Art Center Director said.
There are about 30 pieces up for sale.
You can purchase them or bid on them in a silent auction that ends this Sunday, December 2nd at 3 p.m.
Bids start at $125 for the small ones.
