Sheehy designates Holt County as "Livestock Friendly County"

Posted:
LINCOLN, Neb. (KTIV) -

21 counties are now designated as Livestock Friendly counties through the state program.

Being part of the program is a way to recognize the impact the livestock industry has on local economies.

It also provides jobs for those working with animals and a marketplace for grain and hay producers, while adding value to those products.

The Livestock Friendly County program is coordinated by the Nebraska Department of Agriculture.
