SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
The old Sioux City bus station, which the Art Center uses as a learning center will be torn down.
The land will be turned into a park and the sculpture called 'Sioux City' will be displayed at the corner of 3rd and Pierce.
The sculpture known by many know as the 'French Fry' sculpture was put into storage in 2006.
The project will cost about six-million-dollars and is part of a larger plan to enhance the art center's campus with several large art projects.
"So whether you are leaving or coming on Nebraska street or Pierce you will see and be engaged in a beautiful display of public sculpture, outdoor sculpture and it will make the campus much more livelier and become a symbol of our community," says Al Harris-Fernandez.
The Learning Center will be rebuilt in a few years between where the sculpture will be and the art center.
