Melsahn Basabe scored 15 of his 17 points in the first half as Iowa throttled Texas A&M-Corpus Christi 88-59 on Saturday.

Devyn Marble added 15 points for the Hawkeyes (6-2), who never trailed and used a 20-0 run in the first half to bounce back from two straight losses.

Joy Williamson scored 14 points to lead Texas A&M-Corpus Christi (1-5).

Basabe came off the bench to spark Iowa's big first-half rally. The junior scored the final 13 points of the 20-0 run during a seven-minute stretch of the half. Basabe made 5 of 6 field goals and 7 of 8 free throws for the game.

Iowa freshman Adam Woodbury added 13 points and five rebounds. Josh Oglesby scored 12 points.

AMES, Iowa (AP) -- Will Clyburn scored a career-high 32 points and Iowa State snapped a two-game losing streak by beating BYU 83-62.

Melvin Ejim added 13 points for the Cyclones (5-2), who shot 48 percent from the floor in a surprisingly easy victory over the Cougars.

Iowa State took control with a 12-0 run spanning the halves. The Cyclones jumped ahead by as much as 58-41 early in the second half and cruised to their 12th straight home win dating back to last season.

Brandon Davies had 20 points to lead BYU (5-3), which saw its three-game winning streak snapped. The Cougars hit just four 3s in 20 tries.
