DES MOINES, Iowa (KTIV) -

Governor Terry Branstad says that move comes after recommendations from last week's state conference.

At a Monday morning press conference, Branstad says there are things that -- quote -- "can be done to strengthen and improve our law."

Iowa has launched Your Life Iowa, a program aimed at helping parents, school workers and others to prevent bullying and youth suicide.

Branstad announced the program at the summit held in Des Moines last week.

Sioux City superintendent Dr. Paul Gausman also spoke at the conference.
