The Iowa State Patrol says it happened Monday morning around six o'clock on Highway 4.

They say 52-year-old Steven Rosenboom of Little Rock pulled out from a stop sign and into the path of 64-year-old David Ruehle of Graettinger, Iowa.

Authorities say Rosenboom was killed when his truck burst into flames after being hit.

Palo Alto County Ambulance, Emmmetsburg Fire and Rescue, and the Emmetsburg Police Department assisted the Iowa State Patrol in the accident.
