SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
Another passionate discussion about the future of the Sioux City schools. Monday night, it was inside City Hall.
The Community School District presented their plan for a new northside elementary where the former Hoover Middle School is located.
Mayor Bob Scott took issue with the district's traffic plan. He worried traffic will spill out onto Hamilton Boulevard just like it does at Clark Elementary up the road. He called that situation, "a disaster."
"The traffic studies the school district is doing quite frankly, I don't think address how traffic really moves," said Scott.
No decisions were made, but Scott says he won't support the plan as is.
