Storm Lake voters to decide potential funding for high school renovation

Voters in Storm Lake head to the polls Tuesday.  They will vote on three measures; two involve increasing a property tax levy.  If that measure is approved, the school there would have 11 million dollars to renovate the 50-year-old high school, which is now too crowded.  Storm Lake polls are open from noon until 8 p-m.  We hope to have the results tonight on News 4 at 10.

UPDATE: Hard Rock makes pitch to young professionals group

We likely will get a better idea of the plan to put a new casino in Sioux City's Battery building Tuesday.  Sioux City Entertainment is expected to lay out its plans to Downtown Partners, and give the media a tour of the location.  There are two other groups with casino proposals, Ho-Chunk Incorporated and Penn National Gaming which already operates the Argosy Casino in Sioux City.  All three groups will make their pitch to the state gaming board next month.

Health care mandate a tough pill for cities to swallow
