A Spencer, Iowa man says he's "not guilty" of a deadly beating

21-year-old Christopher Fitzpatrick will stand trial February 23rd.

SPENCER, Iowa (KTIV) -

21-year-old Christopher Fitzpatrick will stand trial February 23rd for 1st-degree murder, willful injury and 1st degree burglary.

Authorities found the victim, 59-year old Edward Kitto beaten and unresponsive in the backyard of a home in Spencer back on August 27th.

Kitto died at a Sioux Falls hospital.
