NEAR PILGER, Neb. (US92) -

A crash Saturday evening in Stanton county sent two people to the hospital.

Sheriff Mike Unger says the first crash happened just before 5 o'clock on highway 275 two miles west of Pilger.

Unger says an SUV driven by 16-year-old Samantha Liermann of Pilger left the roadway after crossing the center line, struck an embankment and rolled several times.

Liermann and her passenger, 14-year-old Kari Liermann, were taken to Faith Regional Health Services for treatment.

The sisters were wearing seatbelts which is credited for lessening their injuries.  The vehicle is a total loss.
