The Morningside Mustangs are heading into the title game undefeated.
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
For the first time ever, the Mustangs will play for a National Football Championship.
The Mustangs are ranked 3rd will take on Marian University on Thursday in Rome.
The team heads into the title game undefeated.
Even though it was an early morning for the players, they are excited to be a part of school history.
"One thing about these guys is they've been great at practicing all year and they've been practicing with great enthusiasm and so it's just kind of continued," Coach Steve Ryan said.
"I think we are more excited than nervous. I don't think the nerves have set in yet. probably on Thursday we'll be a little nervous but right now we are just excited and ready to get there," Jordan Sitzmann said.
The game is set for Thursday at 5:30 p.m. and KTIV Sports Fource will be there.
