Drawings of new Jackson Recovery clinic for teen substance abuse and mental health.
SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
Plans to build a new recovery center for young adults crossed another hurdle Tuesday.
The Woodbury County Board of Supervisors approved a plan to issue about $6 million in bonds for the expansion of the Jackson Recovery Center.
Part of the plans call for a new 48,000ft clinic next to the existing center. The clinic would specialize in helping teens and young children get help with substance abuse and mental health issues. It'll include 72 inpatient beds, and 12 psychiatric crisis and stabilization unit.
The total cost is about $9 million. Officials are hoping to have the project completed by 2015.
