SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

Sioux City's Transit System is sharing in over a million dollars in state funding.  The Iowa Transportation Commission approved more than $1.8 million in grants for 12 projects aimed at expanding bus service in rural Iowa.  One of them is a rehabilitation project at Sioux City's intermodal facility.  The city will get 12-thousand dollars for that.

The state commission says the funding comes from the Federal Transit Administration.
