A federal judge is ordering a psychiatric evaluation for a man accused of robbing a Neb. bank

67-year-old Max Lafferty walked into the Bank of the West in September.

SOUTH SIOUX CITY, Neb. (KTIV) -

Authorities say 67-year-old Max Lafferty walked into the Bank of the West in September, showed a knife and demanded money.

He then walked out and was arrested about a block away.

Lafferty has pleaded not guilty to robbery.

After the evaluation, a judge will hold a hearing to determine if Lafferty is competent to stand trial.
