Iowa State's Ejim named Big 12 Player of the Week

AMES, Iowa (KTIV) -

Iowa State junior forward Melvin Ejim has been named the Big 12 Player of the Week for his efforts in the Cyclones victory over Drake in the Big Four Classic.

Ejim paced Iowa State with 21 points and snagged 11 boards in recording his fourth double-double of the season and 11th of his career.

In fact, Ejim was a rebound shy of a double-double at halftime of the Cyclones 86-77 victory.

He currently leads the Big 12 in rebounding and double-doubles.

The Cyclones next hit the hardwood on Wednesday when they visit UMKC.
