NEAR ELK POINT, S.D. (KTIV) -
The South Dakota State Patrol says three people have died in three separate accidents on Interstate 29 between Elk Point and Beresford.
Icy road conditions are believed to have been a factor in all of them.
In one of those crashes, the victim is 38-year-old Tonya Anderson of Akron, Iowa.
The state patrol says she was driving a pickup truck that went out of control, entered the median and rolled about 12 miles south of Beresford.
Anderson was not wearing a seat belt and was thrown from the truck.
Shortly before that accident, an Emery South Dakota woman was killed just south of Elk Point.
The state patrol says 27-year-old Angela Snoozy lost control of her car, crossed into the opposite lane and struck a garbage truck.
Snoozy was not wearing a seat beat and was thrown from the car.
The driver of the garbage truck was not hurt.
South Dakota Highway Patrol Captain Kevin Joffer says they also responded to an accident near Vermillion, South Dakota.
He says they are still investigating this accident.
