Authorities have charged a Hospers, Iowa man after they say he made a threat on Facebook about shooting himself, his family and other people in Hospers.
The threat caused a precautionary lockdown of MOC-Floyd Valley schools for about half an hour.
A few private schools in Hospers, Maurice, and Orange City also went into lockdown mode.
The suspect is identified as 22-year-old Ricky Carver.
Authorities say Carver is currently undergoing an evaluation at Mercy Medical Center in Sioux City.
After that is complete he'll be brought back to Sioux County and will be charged with one count of harassment.
