LE MARS, Iowa (KTIV) -
A judge has sentenced a Le Mars, Iowa, man to prison after, police say, he broke into a home, and assaulted a girl inside.
20-year-old Matthew Jandreau will spend up to 45-years in prison.
That's after a jury convicted him, in November, of crimes including 3rd-degree kidnapping, and assault with intent to commit sexual abuse causing bodily injury.
In March, Le Mars police say Jandreau broke into two local homes. And, while inside the second home, police found Jandreau in the basement, assaulting an 11-year old girl who was home sick from school, by herself.
