SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
With the end of the year fast approaching you may be looking at things you'd like to change next year. Your health may be one of them.
For this latest installment of Centsable Health, Fareway registered dietitian Whitney Packebush shares a list of five trends you should start in 2013.
First, rethink your drink. Switch to green tea to get more antioxidants and it's calorie free.
Switch to whole grains. You can use whole grains like quinoa, couscous or bulgur to add variety.
Be simple by using products with fewer ingredients. The label should be easier to understand.
Try to be brand specific. If you shop with store brands you can save over 30 percent each time you shop.
Use the motto mini everything. Look for miniature desserts, single portioned entrees and side dishes. They are now more readily available at home, in stores, and at restaurants.
