NEAR SLOAN, Iowa (KTIV) -
Thursday afternoon fire crews were called to put out a fire that started in a farm building and camper near Sloan, Iowa.
Fire officials say no one was inside the building when the fire broke out around noon.
It happened near 290th and Dallas.
About 25 firefighters from Sloan and other nearby departments responded to the call.
Sloan Fire Chief Lee Blanchard says it took about 20 minutes to put the fire out.
He says, the weather conditions also made it harder for crews to get to the scene.
The roads getting here until we got onto gravel were 100 percent ice, out in the rural areas so it slowed us down a little bit," Sloan Fire Department Chief Lee Blanchard said.
Blanchard says, the cause of the fire is still under investigation.
