Wall Lake, Iowa couple pleads guilty to series of bank robberies

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

In a plea agreement, 48-year-old Jeffrey Schoon pleaded guilty to six criminal counts, including four counts of bank robbery.

His wife, 40-year-old Roxena Schoon, pleaded guilty to one count of "conspiracy to commit bank robbery."

According to court documents, Jeffrey Schoon's stepdaughter told police her stepmom, Roxena, and her father, robbed banks in Odebolt, Early, Vail and Lytton earlier this year.

Specifically, investigators say Jeffrey Schoon robbed the banks while Roxena Schoon drove the getaway car.

No sentencing date has been set.
