Norfolk, NE sex offender caught in Arizona

A convicted sex offender thought to be traveling through Siouxland has been arrested in Arizona.

Fairbury, Nebraska Police say they picked up Billy Barritt in Mohave County, Thursday.

Thirty-year-old Barritt is charged with first-degree sexual assault of a child and three counts of third-degree sexual assault of a child.

Police say Barritt sexually assaulted multiple children in Nebraska under the age of 10 for more than a year.

Authorities say that when Barritt learned of the investigation, he left his home in Fairbury.

They originally thought he was headed to Norfolk, where he used to live.
