SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
Siouxland Adult Medicine is helping those less fortunate for the first time this year.
The staff, patients and friends of Adult Medicine came up with the giving tree and bought gifts for about 35 families of the Transitional Services of Iowa.
Transitional Services of Iowa provides behavioral services for kids and families with mental health illnesses.
Many of the families were asking for the necessities such as, paper towels, toilet paper, snacks, and even a Christmas tree.
"Just to see the smiles on the kids and families faces, I mean that takes up everything. It means a lot," said Rob Wooten, Transitional Services of Iowa.
About 75 gifts were delivered Friday to the kids and adults of Transitional Services of Iowa.
