The Sioux City Musketeers lost to Omaha, 3-2, in a shootout on Friday night. It was Sioux City's eleventh one-goal loss of the season.
The Lancers jumped in front 2-0 on a pair of goal from Robbie Baillargeon. The Musketeers cut the lead to 2-1 on a goal from Tanner Pond in the second period. J.T. Stenglein sent the game to overtime with a goal at the 7:24 mark of the third period.
Omaha goaltender Alex Lyon stopped 43 of 45 shots. Sioux City's Joe Ballmer made 38 saves.
Sioux City (5-16-4) will travel to Waterloo on Saturday night and will return home to play the Blackhawks again on Friday, December 28th.
