SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
The Salvation Army of Siouxland is short of its 2012 Red Kettle Campaign goal of $185,000.
So far, they say $164,709 or 89-percent of its donation goal has been met.
Christmas Eve is the last day bell ringers will be present at the 15 locations in Siouxland.
Major Von R Vandiver, Commanding Officer of the Salvation Army in Siouxland said, "We had hoped to have at least 90% of the campaign received by Christmas Eve - so we are close, but not quite were we want to be at this point in the season. Our volunteers and staff have done a wonderful job, and as always the people of Siouxland have been so very generous. I have faith that we will reach this year's campaign goal in the next few days."
Donations will still be received by mail at PO Box 783, Sioux City, IA 51102 or on-line at donate.salvationarmyusa.org.
