Family portrait tradition goes back decades

SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

It's not just little kids who find the last minute visits with Santa to be a source of joy.

One family has been lining up to take Christmas photos with the Jolly Old Elf every year for the last 25 years. To them, age isn't a big deal. It's all about the presents.

Three of the kids have finished college. The three others are in it. The family's holiday picture is a gift their grandmother still loves receiving.

"She looks forward to it every year and the boys and the girl in the picture, they love it, and they know that they just have to do this for Grandma, and they don't mind doing it at all," said Karen Ulben of Sioux City.

The family says it will keep doing this tradition as long as Grandma enjoys it.
