ORLANDO, Fla. (KTIV) -
The Nebraska football is looking to do everything they can to avoid a repeat performance of last year's Capital One Bowl loss, as they continue preparing for Georgia.
Now, statistically, the two programs matchup about evenly. The Huskers rank 22nd in total offense, the Dogs 25th.
However, Georgia quarterback Aaron Murray is currently second in the nation in quarterback efficiency, second only behind Alabama's AJ McCarron.
Defensively Nebraska and Georgia are in the top 30 as well, but you can't win them on paper, and the Huskers are focused on sending their 29 seniors out on a winning note.
"We had a good practice. We've had a good week so far. We'll finish it up tomorrow and then get ready to play a football game. I think the attention to detail has been good" Head Coach Bo Pelini said. " The kids have been practicing hard. I think our guys have been pretty locked in the whole week."
The Huskers will have their final practice on Sunday. The Capital One Bowl is New Year's day. Kickoff between is set for noon.
