NORFOLK, Neb. (KTIV/US92) -

Norfolk Police say they were called Saturday morning by a Norfolk couple who reported a stolen pickup and said they believed their son was responsible for the theft.

Officers spotted the pickup at a home in the 500 block of south first street where 21-year-old Jesus Miranda was found hiding in a closet.

While officers were removing him from the closet, a zip lock bag containing a white substance fell out of Miranda's pocket.

The substance tested positive for methamphetamine.

Miranda was arrested for felony auto theft and felony possession of a controlled substance and has been transferred to the Madison County Jail.
