Flags lowered in the Rushmore State for former lawmakers

Governor Dennis Daugaard has ordered that flags be lowered to half-staff at the State Capitol twice this week to honor the deaths of two former lawmakers.

Flags will fly at half-staff Wednesday in honor of Frank Henderson, who died Friday at age 84.

On Thursday, flags will be lowered in honor of former Representative Burdette Solum, who also died Friday. He was 85 and a Watertown native.
