SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -

The county board of supervisors voted to offer Karen Hickman's group a standard lease Wednesday, but she wasn't there to sign it.

The cafeteria has been around for more than three years, but for the past six months, it's been empty.

Supervisors say they hope to have it up and running with breakfast and lunch options, starting in March.

"We've heard from a lot of our employees, especially with the cold weather, that they would like an option right here in the court house to eat," Jackie Smith of the Woodbury County Board of Supervisors said.

Smith says she expects the new cafeteria will be open from 7:30 a.m. to around 2:30 p.m. daily.

She says it'll be perfect for jurors and county employees.
