Norfolk, NE man sentenced in assault case

Posted:
LINCOLN, Neb. (AP) -

A Norfolk, Nebraska man is going to prison for breaking into the home of a Lincoln woman and beating her.  22-year-old Cody Dittman has been sentenced to six-to-eight years behind bars.

In November, he pleaded no contest to felony assault after prosecutors dropped a burglary charge.  Police say Dittman went to Jamie Mohr's home last May and told her he wanted a dog she had that belonged to a mutual acquaintance.  Mohr tried to shut the door, but she says Dittman kicked it in and attacked her.
