CEDAR RAPIDS (KWWL) -
50-year-old Jerome Power was sentenced in a Linn County Court Monday. The judge ruled he spend the rest of his life in prison without parole.
Power is charged with killing 68-year-old Doris Bevins in her home.
In September 2010, Cedar Rapids Police were called to an apartment on fifth avenue southeast.
Bevins told police Power came into her apartment and assaulted her.
Bevins later died from her injuries after the attack.
