SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
The budget process begins Tuesday for Sioux City.
The city has benefited from a flat, or reduced, tax rate the last several years. Top city officials have already said that streak will likely end.
The council will get an overview of this year's capital improvement plans at 8:30 A.M. Tuesday. That will be followed by several departmental budgets including the airport, transit, events and facilities, and art center.
Budget hearings will last through the end of February.
