NORFOLK, Neb (KTIV/US92) -
Eight people have been arraigned on charges related to a home invasion in Norfolk, Nebraska, in December.
All eight are charged with child abuse including 25-year-old Mario Rogel-Sanchez, 24-year-old Cody Wright, 24-year-old Latoya White Dress, 23-year-old Rico White Dress, 20-year-old Dominique Gonzalez, 19-year-old Rigo Gonzalez, 19-year-old Brenda Gonzalez, and 18-year-old Rhiannon Zarate all appeared in Madison County Court Tuesday. All but Latoya White Dress, Brenda Gonzalez and Zarate, are charged with burglary, after police say they broke into the home of 25-year old Christine White Dress on December 21st.
Police say they assaulted her, and 25-year old Dustin Zephier, while five children were there. Court documents show that Rico White Dress told police that he went to the apartment with the others to visit his children, who were among the five children. Police say Rico White Dress and Zephier got into an altercation, during which White Dress was stabbed. The eight were arrested at a Norfolk hospital later that evening.
They'll make their preliminary court appearances over the next month.
