Online court records show the upcoming drug trial for Dan Morrissey, the father of Lyric Cook, will be moved.  A judge granted a change of venue request this week.

Morrissey's daughter, Lyric Cook, went missing along with her cousin Elizabeth Collins on July 13, 2012. The two were found dead last month.  Dan Morrissey faces domestic abuse and drug charges unrelated to the girls' disappearance.

Ahead of his trial, a judge ordered surveys of potential jurors to find out if media coverage of the missing girls case could influence them in a trial.

The trial will now take place in a Scott County courtroom in Davenport.

A hearing is scheduled January 18 to determine the new trial date.
