Teachers learn about using iPads in classrooms

About 100 Iowa educators visited Waterloo Thursday to learn more about using iPads in the classroom.

Educators met at Waterloo Columbus High School.  The goal was to learn about using iPads in a 1:1 program; one device for every student.

Two years ago, Cedar Valley Catholic Schools deployed 600 iPads to grades 6-12, and school officials say it's been a success.

"We have found it has transformed the culture of our learning climate with the way that kids can access digital media and then create content and design their learning," said CVCS technology director Joanna Seymour.

The site visit included a presentation and then school tours.
