MOLINE, Ill. (KWWL) -
John Deere voluntarily recalled Gator utility vehicles after reports of a fire hazard.
Deere announced Thursday that 4,650 utility vehicles are being recalled after three reports of the fuel line separating. No injuries have been reported.
The recall is for John Deere Gator RSX850i Base, Sport and Trail model recreational utility vehicles manufactured between May 2012 and October 2012.
These vehicles were sold nationwide from August 2012 through October 2012.
Only utility vehicles with the following serial numbers are included in this recall: 1M0850TB++M010013 through 1M0850TB++M010768, 1M0850TS++M010001 through 1M0850TS++M011932, and 1M0850TT++M010001 through 1M0850TT++M012765.
The serial number can be found on the rear frame above the receiver hitch.
Deere is asking consumers to stop using the recalled utility vehicles and contact a John Deere dealer to schedule a free inspection and free repair. Consumers can call Deere and Company at (800) 537-8233.
