DES MOINES, Iowa (KTIV) -
As Iowa lawmakers gavel in the 2013 session of the legislature, the Iowa Farm Bureau Federation is out with its legislative priorities for the year. Among them are property tax reform and infrastructure improvement.
The Farm Bureau is calling on legislators to put reasonable limitations on growth of property taxes. It also supports putting the state's budget surplus towards property tax relief and infrastructure.
And the Farm Bureau is calling for an increase in the state fuel tax to raise additional revenue for road improvements.
