An old building in Yankton will get new life as a museum, thanks to the South Dakota Legislature.
The state senate has approved the sale of a century-old building on the state Human Services Center campus for use as a museum.
Senator Jean Hunhoff of Yankton says the building will be transferred to the Yankton County Historical Society, which will use private money to renovate the structure and turn it into a museum.
The building has been unused for about 30 years.
