SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
Some Air National Guard members from Sioux City are heading to Washington, D.C. for next Monday's Presidential Inauguration. The Iowa National Guard says approximately ten airmen from the 185th Air Refueling Wing will assist federal, state, and local agencies with support missions for the events in the nation's capital.
It's an eight-day mission. A total of 120 National Guard members from Iowa will be part of the operation.
In all, 6,000 guard members from 25 states and territories will be involved.
