Waterloo police investigating morning shooting

WATERLOO (KWWL) -

Waterloo police continue to investigate a shooting that took place in the area of West 8th Street and Randolph Street Friday morning.

Captain Tim Pillack says officers were called to the area at around 9:50 a.m. for a report of shots fired.

Officers say they found 20-year-old Ronald Eugene Alston with a gun shot wound to the leg at 807 West 8th Street. He was taken to a local hospital.

The investigation continues and no arrests have been made.
