A water pipe break sends more than 500 University of South Dakota students out into the cold Monday night.
In a news release, USD officials say the students were displaced from a dorm on campus. Officials shut off the water and power at Coyote Village after a broken pipe flooded an area in the dorm. Students were taken to the student center ballroom where officials began arranging hotel rooms for the students. They are working to get the dorm re-opened as soon as possible.
No word yet on what caused the pipe to break.
