LINCOLN, Neb. (KTIV) -
Nebraska Governor Dave Heineman released a statement Tuesday morning saying he has approved the route for the Keystone XL pipeline proposed by TransCanada.
Heineman reviewed the route in the final evaluation report, which avoids the environmentally-sensitive Sand Hills region of Nebraska.
Gov. Heineman sent the following letter to President Barack Obama and Secretary of State Hillary Clinton, notifying them of the accepted Nebraska route. There's no word on what the next step will be in Washington.
