SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
A man who robbed a Sioux City convenience store with a hammer will spend time behind bars.
As part of a plea agreement, 42-year-old Shannon Ivory pled guilty to one count of robbery, and one county of burglary. He was sentenced to 25 years in prison. He must serve at least seven years.
In September, police say Ivory went into the Kum and Go store on Pierce Street.
They say he showed a hammer and demanded money from the clerk. He was subdued by customers who entered the store.
