SIOUX CITY, Iowa (KTIV) -
The Salvation Army of Siouxland breaks a record for its annual Red Kettle Campaign.
The campaign ended on January 21st, with $219,106.62 donated, which exceeded the goal by 18%.
The Red Kettle Campaign began shortly before Thanksgiving, with bell ringers at 23 locations around Siouxland.
Bell ringing stopped at Christmas time, short of the goal, but mail and Internet donations were still being accepted.
The commanding officer at the Salvation Army says they're grateful and humbled by all of the support.
